Door Sill Plate is the exterior trim strip on the Mazda that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Mazda part number bjs768740a02.
The clips fatigue and the adhesive-backed tape lifts at the ends, so the strip works loose and starts to flap at speed. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
Supplied ready to fit; the original clips are usually brittle and should be renewed at the same time.
