Door Shell Tape mounts inside the Mazda door shell and takes the wear that repeated use puts on the door. Genuine Mazda part number ghp972864.
Broken returns springs, stretched cables and worn pivots show up as a handle with no resistance or a door that needs a slam. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
