Door Shell Plug is a body-side fitting on the Kia — small, inexpensive, and usually the reason a larger panel will not sit flush. Genuine Kia part number 83397-2H000.
Once the fitting fails the surrounding parts work loose and start to chafe, so replacing the small part early prevents damage to the panel it holds. Match by part number — body hardware is dimension-critical and a 1 mm difference in shank or reach is enough to stop it seating.
Do not over-torque these fittings — the plastic or thin-gauge body panel strips before the fitting does.
