Door Molding sits on the Mazda body side as a sacrificial rub strip and as the visual break between door and quarter panel. Genuine Mazda part number KR9E-51-RC0-13.
Once the retaining clips break the moulding will not sit flush, and water trapped behind it starts the corrosion cycle on the panel edge. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
Supplied ready to fit; the original clips are usually brittle and should be renewed at the same time.
