Door Molding is the exterior trim strip on the Mazda that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Mazda part number KR9D-51-RD0-K6.
The clips fatigue and the adhesive-backed tape lifts at the ends, so the strip works loose and starts to flap at speed. Trim is side-specific — a left-hand strip will not fit the right-hand side of the same car. Confirm the side before ordering.
If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
