Door Edge Guards is fitted to the Kia door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Kia part number UB040-AY1504Y.
Water ingress past a failed seal corrodes the internal linkage, which is why the symptom appears suddenly after a wet season. Door hardware is handed — left and right are different parts. Check the side marked on the listing against the door you are repairing.
Access is from inside the door, so removing the trim panel is part of the job — order new panel clips if the originals are brittle.
Doors Door Edge Guards replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
