Door Check mounts inside the Kia door shell and takes the wear that repeated use puts on the door. Genuine Kia part number 76980-K0000.
Water ingress past a failed seal corrodes the internal linkage, which is why the symptom appears suddenly after a wet season. Fits 2020-2025 Kia Soul as listed. Trim level affects whether the door carries a sensor, a soft-close or a keyless aerial, so confirm the original part number first.
Access is from inside the door, so removing the trim panel is part of the job — order new panel clips if the originals are brittle.
Door Check Straps Door Check replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
