Cover L Mirror Base is the Mazda door mirror part that takes the brunt of kerb strikes and car-wash brushes. Genuine Mazda part number GS1D691C7B.
Mirror damage is almost always impact-related — a clipped pillar, a tight garage or a car wash — and the housing cracks while the mechanism survives. A mirror with a turn-signal repeater has a different wiring connector from a plain one, even though the housing looks the same.
Glass is supplied ready to fit; take care not to touch the reflective surface when seating it.
Mirror Assemblies Cover L Mirror Base replacement for Mazda. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
