Center Console Latch is part of the door assembly on your Volvo and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Volvo part number 30791832.
Broken returns springs, stretched cables and worn pivots show up as a handle with no resistance or a door that needs a slam. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
