Bumper Cover closes out the Volvo’s bumper assembly, carrying the visual line of the front or rear end while the steel beam behind it handles the load. Genuine Volvo part number 39897117.
Because it is moulded from a flexible thermoplastic, this part dents and splits rather than rusting — which means most replacements are cosmetic rather than structural. Check the model year break on the listing: mid-cycle facelifts change the cover shape even when the fender and hood are unchanged.
Ships unpainted — plan for paint and blending into the adjacent panels.
