Body D-Pillar sits on the Volvo body side as a sacrificial rub strip and as the visual break between door and quarter panel. Genuine Volvo part number 32353039.
UV exposure dulls the original finish and the mounting channel cracks, which is why a trim strip that is still attached can look sun-bleached and pitted. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
Pillar Moldings Body D-Pillar replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
