Body D-Pillar sits on the Mazda body side as a sacrificial rub strip and as the visual break between door and quarter panel. Genuine Mazda part number KR9D-71-11X.
UV exposure dulls the original finish and the mounting channel cracks, which is why a trim strip that is still attached can look sun-bleached and pitted. Trim is side-specific — a left-hand strip will not fit the right-hand side of the same car. Confirm the side before ordering.
If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
