Body D-Pillar sits on the Mazda body side as a sacrificial rub strip and as the visual break between door and quarter panel. Genuine Mazda part number DGH9-70-44XA.
UV exposure dulls the original finish and the mounting channel cracks, which is why a trim strip that is still attached can look sun-bleached and pitted. Check whether the original is a chrome, black or primed insert; the mounting channel is shared but the insert finish is not.
If your original used double-sided tape, clean the panel with a wax remover before fitting the new strip.
Pillar Moldings Body D-Pillar replacement for Mazda. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
