Back Door Assembly is fitted to the Nissan door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Nissan part number K010M-6GPMA.
Water ingress past a failed seal corrodes the internal linkage, which is why the symptom appears suddenly after a wet season. Door hardware is handed — left and right are different parts. Check the side marked on the listing against the door you are repairing.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
