Assist Strap is fitted to the Kia door structure and is one of the parts that fails first once the door has been used for a few years. Genuine Kia part number 85342-A9100BHH.
Broken returns springs, stretched cables and worn pivots show up as a handle with no resistance or a door that needs a slam. Trim level affects whether the door carries a sensor, a soft-close or a keyless aerial, so confirm the original part number first.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
Door Check Straps Assist Strap replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
