Assist Strap is part of the door assembly on your Kia and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Kia part number 85341-A7000ED.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Front and rear doors use different part numbers even when the handle or hinge looks identical.
No paint required; the part mounts behind the door trim panel.
Door Check Straps Assist Strap replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
