Assist Strap is part of the door assembly on your Kia and carries load every time the door is opened, closed or locked. Genuine Kia part number 85340-2S030ED.
The mechanism wears before the panel does, so a door that drops, sticks or will not latch usually needs this part rather than a new shell. Trim level affects whether the door carries a sensor, a soft-close or a keyless aerial, so confirm the original part number first.
Check the door alignment after fitting, as a worn part often masks a hinge that also needs adjustment.
Door Check Straps Assist Strap replacement for Kia. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
