Applique Rivet is the exterior trim strip on the Volvo that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Volvo part number 988110.
The clips fatigue and the adhesive-backed tape lifts at the ends, so the strip works loose and starts to flap at speed. Length and clip spacing differ between sedan, hatch and wagon bodies even where the model name is the same.
Pre-fit the strip dry before removing the adhesive backing so the end gaps line up.
Appliques Applique Rivet replacement for Volvo. Cross-check the part number against the component you are removing before ordering.
