Applique – Driver’s Side (LH) is the exterior trim strip on the Volvo that carries the character line and shields the paint underneath from impact. Genuine Volvo part number 8679938. This listing is for the left-hand (driver side on US models) part.
The clips fatigue and the adhesive-backed tape lifts at the ends, so the strip works loose and starts to flap at speed. Trim is side-specific — a left-hand strip will not fit the right-hand side of the same car. Confirm the side before ordering.
Pre-fit the strip dry before removing the adhesive backing so the end gaps line up.
