Buying guide: Door Seals

Replace rather than reuse when the door is off.

The perimeter seal on the shell and the seal on the door itself are separate parts, and both compress permanently with age. A failed seal shows up as water in the footwell, wind noise at speed or a door that needs a slam. Never reuse a compressed seal when the door has been off — it is the most common reason a repaired door leaks.
